Anna Hammerin DeSilva is an International and Certified Professional Secretary with a strong dedication to professionalism and excellence. Anna has vast international experience as Private Secretary and Executive Assistant – a career which has taken her from Sweden to Bermuda, New York, Miami, Geneva, Lausanne, London and Monte Carlo. Anna has had the pleasure to work with some of the most prominent leaders within the business and educational world, and the acclaim of her own event-planning business venture even attracted the custom of members of the Swedish Royal Family!
Anna studied at the International Secretarial College (Stockholm, Lausanne, and Brighton); Bermuda College where she attained her designation as Certified Professional Secretary as part of the US-based IAAP (Bermuda Chapter); and at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, from where she graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree as Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology. Being of Swedish descent, Anna is also an excellent translator and can offer insightful support to international/Swedish business relations.
Anna has extensive EA and PA experience from both the corporate and educational world, which enables her to integrate the best qualities from business and academia. Anna’s innovative and “out-of-the-box” thinking has given rise to a number of dynamic projects throughout her working career – and as a result, Anna was selected by Bacardi Limited (Bermuda) as their representative for the special edition of ‘Women in Business’ in the national newspaper, The Royal Gazette. Anna’s professionalism earned her a nomination for the University of Hertfordshire’s Vice-Chancellor Award for Providing Outstanding Service in 2010.
On a personal level, Anna is a creative and life-loving individual, with a special interest in the human mind and body, and their interconnectedness. Alongside a degree in Psychology, Anna has a keen interest in health nutrition and super foods, and their effect on the body’s self-healing abilities.
